I am so excited to be continuing to share my passion for positive aging getting real with aging and taking healthy aging to the next level.
Stay tuned for more articles, videos and photos.
While we are at it here is where I podcast. You will find a podcast on this article.
My podcasts are just me, chatting with you about PRO-aging.
Simple, direct, honest, transparent and pulling no punches.
I 'm excited to take what I view as PRO-aging to the next level.
I've committed myself to living OUT LOUD in regards to positive aging and that means being more vocal, more informative, more demonstrative, and even more passionate about aging well.
Aging well is not simply relegated to those over "a certain age".
We are aging every moment of every day from the time we're born.
We go through various stages of "growing pains" and aging transitions.
It's important to do it all with a sense of what is happening RIGHT NOW in aging.
I've shied away from anything controversial about aging, BUT aging can be messy, unpredictable, painful and controversial.
It can also be enlightening, expansive, fun, enjoyable, fulfilling and even peaceful.
Aging encompasses pretty much every aspect of life that you can think of.
Health, sex, politics, religions, diet, exercise, relationships, friendships, work, career (and no, they aren't the same thing) education or lack thereof, personal and body image, self-esteem, confidence, illness, death, and on and on.
We need to address these things openly and honestly through dialogue and conversation.
We NEED to do it with facts and genuine discussion even though we may ruffle a few feathers.
We DESPERATELY need to give attention to ageism from the teenage years to the advanced years.
Aging for women, especially, is hard because of continual societal limitations and discriminations. We as woman are forging our way in our personal and global experiences.
I don't want to back away from those things that might offend people either.
It's not my responsibility to make facts palatable. It's each person's responsibility to understand why they are offended, if it has credence OR if it's bias fueled by misinformation, prejudice or propaganda.
I wish to express my educated (as much as possible) opinion to HELP us age better.
I don't buy into anti-aging schemes such as lotions and potions. Don't get me wrong, lotions and potions are wonderful, and feel really good.
Most of it doesn't work like it's advertised. These products have large marketing budgets. It's all out there at 2 am when we can't sleep and are feeling our worst.
I've done my homework on so many products. I have been my own private guinea pig to prove what works and what doesn't.
You can take what I share or express with a grain of salt.
If you have any doubts I ENCOURAGE you to get online and research for yourself anything I share.
My only goal is to be as real, transparent and maybe sometimes as VOCAL as possible to help us age better tomorrow than we are aging today.
I've had long and hard discussions with my son and husband about how I wish to show up; about my fears of speaking out LOUD AND CLEAR about pro-aging.
I've worried about ridiculous internet retribution and clap back by those who only live to demean others: even others with important missions.
I'm no longer afraid of the conflict.
PRO-AGING is too important to listen to those who have nothing better to do than put me down to make themselves feel better or more powerful.
And you know what that is?
THAT'S NOT PRO-AGING.
Thanks so much for reading.

Every week the PRO-aging mission in podcasting can be found more and more places.
It's an exciting journey for PRO-aging and what I feel so passionately about where PRO-aging (NOT anti-aging) is concerned.

Thank you so much for staying with me on this ADVENTURE!
Now it's on Overcast:
As the iconic phrase goes "ain't nobody got time for that".
Hate is a BIG time waster.
Plus, it creates a lot of negative karma.
Who needs that?
Does it REALLY get ANYTHING done?
But cause a lot more hate, violence and pain?
One of my favorite things to do in the world, is to travel the world.
I am VERY lucky that I have the opportunities and I know it.
I do my best not to waste one SECOND of being as present as possible when I travel.
I love the cuisine, culture, history and peoples of all the regions I visit.
However, I especially love wildlife and the environment.
For me being in nature is very meditative, restorative, regenerating and rejuvenating. THAT translates into PRO-aging!
As always, thanks for watching.
See you again soon.
I I love to get out and walk.
I was on the beach recently and thought I'd say HI!!
I try to walk as often as possible.
If you can't get to the beach, perhaps you live near a lake or a river.
You can also walk in the forest, through hills or even in the mountains. (I think THAT would be called hiking. Watch out for ticks!)
I love to park my car far from my destination and get some walking in before I shop.
Take the stairs.
Make several laps around your neighborhood.
Walk the dog for fun instead of just for a potty break..
Stroll the grandkids and get to know them better.
When I lived in New York City, then afterwards, in San Francisco I walked nearly everywhere.
It's an enjoyable way to manage your weight, to improve your mobility and balance, to tone muscles, and stretch joints and ligaments.
Walking longer distances helps with our endurance, too.
Walking is the most PRO-aging exercise you can do. AND it doesn't even feel like exercise. All it takes is a comfortable pair of walking shoes or sneakers, comfortable clothes and AWAY YOU GO!
How many steps SHOULD you take? That's up to you. Push yourself a little bit more every time you walk and watch your energy increase, your lung capacity increase, your weight drop (if that is your goal), and more importantly, your mental health and attitude change for the better.
I'll meet you at the beach for a walk.
